During this camp, participants will be able to see the Museum’s Live Animal Ambassadors like snakes, turtles, and arthropods up close. Alabama’s forests are truly incredible, and campers will learn all about the longleaf pine while making a pinecone Christmas tree. Lastly, campers will also make unique snowflake crafts and learn the science behind snow!
Presentations with the Museum’s Live Animal Ambassadors, ornament craft making, and scavenger hunts in the Exhibits are just a few of the activities that campers will be able to do during the Home for the Holidays Camp. Learn all about Alabama’s state symbols like the black bear and honey bee through crafts and activities. Lastly, discover more about our home state by studying maps and making your own Alabama map on an ornament!
