Guided Hike at Monte Sano Nature Preserve

Join Land Trust of North Alabama for a hike that will take the less traveled trails on Monte Sano Nature Preserve. You’ll start at Three Caves Trailhead and begin by climbing Waterline Trail. This trail is what gives the hike its “difficult” rating because, well, it’s a straight trail that goes directly uphill – no switchbacks. The climb is worth it, though, as highlights of this hike include waterfalls on Mountain Brook, the spring at the intersection of Young-Kennedy and Wagon Trail, and Dry Falls. Shallow sea fossils are an additional interesting aspect of the trails. Registration is required.
