Don’t miss Alabama’s Watermelon Capital for the 42nd Annual Franklin County Watermelon Festival, located in Downtown Russellville!
This spectacular family event offers two days of live music, watermelon contests, 5k run, antique car & truck show, tasty festival foods, arts & crafts vendors, and slices of FREE watermelon! The Festival will present the Watermelon Pageant Queens at the opening ceremony on Friday night! The 2023 Watermelon Festival Queen will cut the first watermelon of the festival & present the awards for our watermelon contest winners!
