Cigar Box Guitar Festival

June 4 @ 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Free

Did you know that Huntsville is proud to continue its reign as the home of the world’s longest-running Cigar Box Guitar Festival? This free event features music and children’s activities outdoors at Lowe Mill Arts & Entertainment with proceeds benefitting the Microwave Dave Music Education Foundation and Arts Huntsville’s North Alabama Arts Education Collaborative.

Magician and cigar box guitar musician, Steve Trash, will kick-off the full day of music, performing his music and magic as well as talk about easy ways everyone can be kinder to our environment. Families can pick up a $5 activity kit to build four recycled instruments during the Festival or at home.

Stations will be available outdoors to build these instruments throughout the early afternoon. Kids will also be invited on stage with Steve Trash for the Junior Junk Jam mid-afternoon.
