Head to downtown Cullman on Friday, December 1st for the annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony!
The festivities kick off at 6pm with the Christmas parade, featuring floats, bands, and other performers winding through the streets of downtown. Bundle up and bring the whole family to watch this time-honored tradition and get into the holiday spirit!
Then at 7:30pm, gather for the lighting of the city’s enormous Christmas tree at the heart of the Christkindlmarkt. The master of ceremonies, meteorologist James Spann, will lead the countdown before the 40-foot tall tree is illuminated with thousands of bright, colorful lights – presented by Premier Bank of the South.
The Tree Lighting celebration continues as you’re treated to a special holiday performance by Taylor Hicks to get the season started off right. The Cullman Christmas tree is the largest community tree lighting display in the southeast, so you don’t want to miss it!
And be sure to have time to enjoy the brand new ice skating rink and Christmas carousel, as well as photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and the over 40 vendors at the Christkindlmarkt.
This event is completely free and open to the public. Parking will be available in around Deport Park.
