Thanks to the ease of social distancing outdoors, drive-in movies in Huntsville are popping up all over the place! Drive-ins are a delightfully retro way for families to still do something fun together, without breathing in all the recycled air or cramming into packed theater spaces. Several movie series have been popping up all over North Alabama – just pick the one showing one of your favorites, pack a picnic supper or movie snacks, and hit the drive-in!

The newest addition to the drive-in movie lineup in Huntsville, Touchstar will be showing movies on their new 40-foot outdoor screen starting August 20th, 2020.

Drive In at the Dock

Lowe Mill likes to stay funky, so this drive-in features obscure live and animated short films. Their sometimes PG-13 rating might be better for older kids. Every Saturday this summer the gates open at 7:00 PM and the show starts at sunset in the water tower lot. Movies start at sunset and all flicks must be enjoyed from your vehicle. A spooky movie series is in the works for October! (No movies in Sept.)

Drive-In Movie @ MidCity

The first 125 lucky vehicles get a spot at this drive-in every week in June. But don’t worry, they also have parking for over 300 guests and a wonderful area for you to bring chairs and blankets to watch from the front row! Just please make sure you are 6′ from your neighbor.
