Spring Break Camps in Huntsville

The countdown to Spring Break in Madison County has begun, and if you’re looking for a list of local kid’s camps and programs, you’re in the right place. There’s still time to sign up, but don’t delay – lots of these camps have a limited number of spaces available! Bug Juice Spring Break Camps at the YMCA

When: March 24-28, 7:00AM – 6:00PM

Both the Southeast Y and the Hogan Y are offering day camps during Spring Break. These camps consist of supervised, age-appropriate activities and care is provided from 7 AM – 6 PM. Kids Kindergarten through 8th grade can spend spring break at the YMCA swimming, playing games, making crafts, and going on local field trips.

Gold Mountain Adventure Camps

Make spring break more exciting than ever when you join Burritt for Gold Mountain Adventure! Kindergarten through 5th grade students will have a blast at our spring day camp. This year’s camp is inspired by Treasure Hunt at Gold Mountain, our special feature for 2014. Activities will center on the excitement of the 1829 gold rush in Georgia and Alabama. Campers will imagine what life was like for the miners who joined in the southern gold rush as they experience life as a settler at Gold Mountain. They will also learn about the Cherokee and other tribes whose land held this precious gold. Children will enjoy exploring our hiking trails as well as playing games and creating fun, unique crafts based on the camp’s theme. Each day campers will be supervised and led by our trained, CPR-certified staff. With Burritt’s famous combination of genuine fun, quality instruction, and active play, this is sure to be a spring break to remember!

Spring Break Space Day Camp

Kids ages 7-11 will love spending their break at one of the coolest places on the planet… no, the UNIVERSE! Activities include hands-on science experiments, science briefings, Mars activities, museum exploration and awesome simulators.

Sand-tastic Spring Break Camp

From sand science to colored sand art, each day will be filled with activities both inside the classroom and out in the Garden too! See our sand sculpture exhibit as it’s constructed by a team of artists and create one of your own in our giant newly refurbished sand castle! Your child may come all week or you may pick your days. Not going out of town and and want to have some fun? Spend Your Spring Break With Fantasy! Enroll in the classes/workshops that Fantasy is offering during Spring Break for ages 5-Adult. You will learn about Shakespeare, go to a circus, or do a play in a day!

If your child is thinking about trying out karate but you’re not sure about making a full commitment, why not try out this Spring Break Karate Camp? Activities include indoor Nerf fun, roller skating, games, and two karate lessons a day! Camp starts at 7:30 am and pickup is at 5:30 pm. Ages 5 – 12.

Your Little Einsteins and Mad Scientists will have a blast at these science camps offered at the new location of Sci-Quest! There’s a camp for students grades K-5th, and a list of options to choose from: Magic School Bus, kitchen experiments, Flights of Fancy, CSI, programming, and a science sample are all on the menu. Early drop-off and late pick-up available 7:30AM-5:30PM.

Soccer Camp with Rocket City United

What kid wouldn’t love to spend Spring Break playing with LEGOS all day? They can do just that at these two building camps for kids ages 5 and up.
Minecraft Camp: Experience the world of Minecraft with LEGO® bricks in this fun camp! Kids will start by crafting their shelters and some of the mobs, critters and tools using LEGO® bricks. Your kids will have a blast at this week-long camp offering lots of opportunities for your child to explore art techniques and famous artists. Campers will learn drawing, painting, printmaking, colored pencil, sculpture and more with an emphasis on fostering creative expression. Ages 6-12.

Kid’s Print Making Camp with Green Pea Press

One class or the whole week! Students ages 8-12 will create original works of art using professional printmaking methods and equipment in a hands-on learning environment.
