It’s no secret we LOVE the Huntsville Madison County Public Library and all of it’s many branches! There’s no shortage to quality community programs they host for kids and families. We like to list them here every month, but you can see all of their other events on the HMCPL website.

Take a look at these great kid’s events happening at select branches of HMCPL! Special events are listed first, with weekly storytimes listed at the bottom.

Special Library Events in September

Wii Gaming
Branch: Gurley Library
Date: Fridays, September 2 and October 7 at 3:00 PM
Info: Wii gaming on our big screen. Bring a friend and compete.

Home School Connections – Get To Know Your Library
Branch: Monrovia Library
Date: Tuesday, September 6 @ 1:00 PM

Movie Afternoon
Branch: Gurley Library
Date: Thursday, September 8 and October 13 at 4:00 PM
Info: Watch a movie on our big screen. The September movie is “The Angry Birds” and the October movie is “The Jungle Book”.

Family Movie Night – The Jungle Book
Branch: Monrovia Library

Board Game Night – Pandemic

Monrovia Masterminds Science Club – Nature Journals

Monrovia FOL Big Truck Transportation Event
Branch: Monrovia Library
Date: Saturday, September 17 @ 9-11 AM
Info: The Monrovia Friends of the Library is hosting a Big Truck Event! All kinds of big trucks will be open for touring in the Monrovia Parking lot. We will also have special truck-side story times and snacks for purchase. Donations of any size to Monrovia Friends of the Library will be accepted.
