Fall is an amazing time to head to the closest branch of the local public library! There is something here for toddlers, preschoolers, students of all ages, and teens. Be sure to visit the HMCPL Event Calendar for even more kid-friendly programs offered at the library!

Family Movie Night

Wild Things Puppet Show

INFO: Join us for our annual Wild Things Puppet Show based on Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak. This is a lively puppet show with songs, rhymes, and silly monsters.

Music Café in Madison

INFO: Music Café moves to Saturdays now that school is back in session. Grab your instruments (whether stringed, brass, woodwind, or your own set of pipes), and bring them to the Madison Library to create sweet, sweet tunes with fellow musicians. Halloween Party

After Hours at the Library
BRANCH: New Hope Library

AGES: 10 and up
INFO: Who doesn’t like a spooky story……especially when it is written by you! Join us on October 30th at 5:00 p.m. for a spooky movie and spooky story time telling. You write the story and we will read it together. Prizes for best stories! Of course, refreshments and costumes will be involved. Call the New Hope Library for reservations and story writing guidelines. We hope you will join us for a frightfully good time! This program is appropriate for ages 10 and older.

Halloween Party in Madison

INFO: MPL’s Youth Services Librarians present a brand new, original story: The Bravish Rabbit and the Not So Smart Raccoon. Everyone is invited to wear Halloween costumes, and children will be able to ‘trick or trick’ throughout the library after the puppet show. All ages.
