All aboard! There are few things more magical for children than a winter train ride with Santa at Christmastime! Definitely be sure to add the North Alabama Railroad Museum to your Holiday Must List if you have a young train enthusiast. They offer two different train rides – one at night and the other during the day – and if you act fast you can snag seats on both this year. Tickets go fast!
We loved the Santa Train but the North Star Limited is even better. Amazing experience! All volunteer staff was a great group and you can tell they really care about what they do. This was such a cool excursion for our little train enthusiast. We hope to get tickets again next year. – Farrah N.

Special Winter & Christmas Train Rides at the North Alabama Railroad Museum
North Star Limited
Guests riding the North Star Limited experience a Christmas VIP experience! The North Star Limited is a night-time ride along the rails featuring snacks and special treats for all our guests. Children are encouraged to wear their pajamas, which is unique to this ride. Each child and their family will have a one-on-one visit with Santa, during which he or she can give Santa their Christmas wish list. Each child will receive a gift from Santa. If you’ve missed this ride in years past, don’t delay and purchase your tickets early! This is a 45-minute excursion. All passengers require a ticket, regardless of age.

Santa Train
Riding the rails with Santa Claus at the North Alabama Railroad Museum is an annual Huntsville Tradition! Santa spends time with each child, making sure to get his or her Christmas wish list. Regular class passengers will receive a small gift as they disembark the train. First-class passengers are our extra special guests! They receive a treat as they board the train, and an extra special gift awaits these children from Santa! The Santa Train rides are always a sell-out, so purchase tickets early. This is a 30-minute excursion.
