Bedtime stories read by Dolly Parton? Yes, please

So if you’re new to this site you might not know this but I have a bit of an obsession with Dolly Parton. Not only because she sings like an angel and is one of the greatest American songwriters in history, but also because she always seems to know just what to say and do at exactly the right time.

Of course, I’m not alone. There are numerous books, articles, and even a podcast dedicated to this legend and I encourage you to check them all out later, but right now you should mark your calendars for Thursday nights at 7PM EST and settle in with the kiddies. “Goodnight with Dolly” is a new weekly read-aloud video series our favorite Book Lady is launching to help comfort and reassure children during the shelter-in-place mandates.

Dolly will be reading books from her Imagination Library selection and says,

“This is something I have been wanting to do for quite a while, but the timing never felt quite right. I think it is pretty clear that now is the time to share a story and to share some love. It is an honor for me to share the incredible talent of these authors and illustrators. They make us smile, they make us laugh and they make us think.”

Look for classics like The Little Engine That Could and Llama Llama Red Pajama, just to name a few. Obviously, Coat of Many Colors will be among the stories to look forward to. The stories will be available across the Imagination Library, Dolly Parton, World Choice Investments, and Dollywood channels.
