And the Winner Is…

I LOVE Fridays for a variety of reasons, but since we started Free Fridays here at Rocket City Mom, I love them even more. And today, I get to start it off by announcing a big winner!

Congratulations to ***Megan M.*** winner of our Dixie Derby Girl season passes! Megan, you are the lucky winner of an entire season of awesome blocks and jams. Maybe, just maybe, you will be so inspired that we’ll be cheering for you next season. You never know, it could happen.

For those of you who entered but didn’t win, don’t lose heart. You can still support our DDGs at any home bout for the low ticket price of $10 and remember that all bouts are double headers and children 12 and under are always free!

  1. Family Fun Day

This Saturday, Lighthouse Baptist Church in Toney is hosting a Family Fun Day. Although this is a FREE event, it is a fundraiser for Team Angel Kylie’s Hope and Gavins Mircacle so donations are accepted. 2. Cotton Cottage Gift Certificate

A new and very cute little local boutique is giving away a $25 gift certificate, you have until Sunday to enter.

  3. Pretty Neat Book Giveaway

Lovely Megan M. (yes the same Megan M. who won the tickets, it’s a beautiful coincidence, nothing more) is giving away a copy of a new book all about organizing your home and your life called Pretty Neat. You can read the review and enter by clicking here.

  4. Saturday Movie Matinee

Enjoy a free family-friendly movie matinee at the Eleanor Murphy Library this Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Free popcorn and drinks!

  5. Kid’s Market – 50% Off

As Kid’s Market wraps up, you can enjoy the spoils with 50% off most everything (nothing that’s priced in red) today and tomorrow. While not free, with that discount, it practically is.

  6. Opus Tadpole – Bassoon

This completely free twenty-minute Music Explorers’ Club presentation is an entertaining and interactive way for young listeners to learn about the instruments of the orchestra. Grownups will also learn a thing or two! Sponsored by HSO. For directions and more info, check out the calendar section of this site.
