Afterschool Labs

afterschoollabsDuring Fall Break, students will engage in architectural challenges based on some of their favorite Halloween stories + traditions. Alabama Kidnastics Fall Break Camp

Stay active over Fall Break with Alabama Kidnastics! Each day is filled with fun activities such as gymnastics, dance, volleyball, soccer, softball, basketball, fitness games, and arts & crafts. Space is limited, so register early! Ages Kindergarten through 12 years old.

Alexander’s Martial Arts

Artis Studios

The ARTnasium

Burritt on the Mountain

Make fall break an exciting adventure when you join Burritt for Fall Nature Rangers Camp. During the week of October 8th -12th, kindergarten through 5th grade students will have a blast at our Autumn Adventures day camp. Each day, campers will be led by Burritt’s trained, CPR-certified staff. Our teacher to camper ratio of 1:15 ensures that your child receives individualized attention during these fun-filled days of autumn crafts, learning history, hiking, nature exploration, playing games, and more. Huntsville Botanical Garden

hsvbg_logoCampers will explore the Garden and all the magic it has to offer through its Myths & Magic Day Camp! Daily activities will include indoor and outdoor experiences (weather permitting). Your child can come all week or you can pick your days. Every camp has exciting hands-on activities including experiments, games, and crafts. Campers explore many different areas of the Garden through nature walks, free time in the Children’s Garden and organized physical education games in the afternoons. One afternoon snack is provided for full day camps, and students will need to provide a morning snack with drink and a lunch. Ages 6-13.

The Artist’s Studio: Drawing & Painting, Ages 5-8 and Ages 9-13
Explore basic painting and drawing tools. Learn about the fundamentals of color, shape and composition. Media include tempera, watercolor, pastel and colored pencil. Subject matter will include animals, still life, landscapes and people. Lots of FUN!

The U.S. Space & Rocket Center

u-s-space-and-rocketIf your child is looking for some out of this world fun then the Rocket Explorer Experience might be the answer! Campers will get to experiment with International Space Station science projects, learn rocketry principles by building and launching rockets, and gain an understanding of a day in the life of an astronaut. They’ll also get to draw and design a mission patch, explore museum activities, including museum exhibits and simulators like the Mars Climbing Wall and Space Shot, and learn how Huntsville took man to the moon! There will also be water activities (weather permitting). Ages 5-10.

Spirited Art

Spirited art is the perfect day camp opportunity for your budding artist to release their creative juices over Fall Break! Kids will create a brand-new painting each day, and a craft or two each day. Weather permitting, we will also take advantage of the green space at Campus 805. Book before October 1st and save!  Friday will be costume day – we will all be dressed in a fun costume and will be playing pumpkin related games, painting pumpkins and decorating and eating pumpkin cookies after our painting!

YMCA – Hogan

ymcaThis full-day camp is on the Hogan YMCA campus and open to both members and non-members. Parents provide lunch & two snacks. There will be games, swimming and a field trip during this week. 3-day campers may pick the 3 days of their choice.
