You Can’t Stop that Spiel Purim Musical
“You Can’t Stop that Spiel” is the eighth in a series of tongue-in-cheek Purim musicals telling the story of Esther through the music of Broadway. This year’s production has a talented cast and includes 14 musical numbers with from “The Book of Mormon”, “Wicked”, and “Hairspray” among other well-known shows. A dessert reception is included in the opening night performance (March 3rd).
Broadway Theatre League presents Blue Man Group
Blue Man Group will thrill Huntsville with its high-octane theatrical experience! Escape the ordinary and surround yourself in an explosion of comedy, music, and technology. This show is recommended for all ages and has a run time of approx. 1 hour 40 minutes, with no intermission. Expect the production to contain the use strobe lights, theatrical haze, and fog.
The Wizard of Oz
Like so many girls her age, little Dorothy Gale of Kansas dreams of what lies over the rainbow. One day a twister hits her farm and carries her away over the rainbow to another world. Come join Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tinman, the Cowardly Lion and Toto as they travel the universe of Dorothy’s imagination. This production is written for live stage performance, even while it strives to look and sound just like the famous film in telling the story.
Huntsville High School presents Legally Blonde The Musical
A fabulously fun international award-winning musical based on the adored movie, Legally Blonde The Musical, follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery, and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. This action-packed musical explodes on the stage with memorable songs and dynamic dances.
Elle Woods appears to have it all. Her life is turned upside-down, however, when her boyfriend dumps her so he can start getting serious about his life and attend Harvard Law. Determined to get him back, Elle uses her charm to get into Harvard Law. At school, she struggles with peers, professors, and Warner Huntington. With the help of Paulette and Emmett, though, Elle quickly realizes her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world.
Spring into a Puppet Show!
This free, fun, springtime program is puppet story time for all ages which includes children’s picture books, music, rhymes, a craft, and of course, lots of puppets.
Sparkman High Theater presents Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
Finding a wife in the 1850’s wasn’t easy for men living in the Oregon mountain region. That’s where we met Adam, a woodsmen who sets out for town to bring back a wife to tend to the cookin’, cleanin’, and mendin’. In town he meets Milly, and asks her to marry him. Her wedded bliss is cut short when she finds herself caring for Adam AND his 6 ill‐mannered brothers. Milly gets things under control by teaching the fellas proper etiquette and how to court a lady. But things go from bad to worse when the boys choose some brides against their will. This fantastically entertaining classic features energetic dancing and wonderful vocal performances, and good ole fashion fun!
Freckleface Strawberry: The Musical
Step inside the world of Freckleface Strawberry, a girl who will do anything to get rid of her freckles. In the musical version of the series’ debut book, Freckleface Strawberry must learn to love her freckles – and herself – with help from her good friends. Henry Cho Live
The Huntsville Inner City Learning Center is delighted to bring Henry Cho to Huntsville. Henry is of Korean American descent and was born and raised in Knoxville, TN. He moved to Los Angeles in 1989 to pursue his career. Cho often uses his childhood experiences as an Asian American in the South in his comedy. Cho’s comedy is CLEAN and can be enjoyed by the entire family! Henry’s TV credits include appearances on NBC’s The Tonight Show, CBS’s The Late, Late, Show, and NBC’s Young Comedians Special. He served two years as host of NBC’s Friday Night Videos and had many guest roles on various network sitcoms. Henry’s one hour Comedy Central Special, “What’s That Clickin Noise?” is currently running and he can also be heard on Sirrus, XM and Blue Collar Radio. He’s also a regular performer at the Grand Ole Opry.
Huntsville Youth Symphony Winter Concert
The Huntsville Youth Symphony will play with classical guitarist Isaac Bustos the Rodrigo Concerto Aranjuez for Guitar and Orchestra, along with works by Maurice Ravel. The Sinfonia will play, with classical guitarist Phil Weaver, a Vivaldi Guitar Concerto.
Comic Science Improv Show
Comic Science Improv is a north-Alabama-based troupe of actors who perform hilarious sketches based on suggestions given by the audience. Our shows are appropriate for all audiences, and consist of a collection of short scenes in which we play improv “games” — anything from speaking only in questions to reinterpreting favorite movies — based on suggestions from the audience. You tell us what to do, we make it hilarious. If you’ve ever seen “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” “Thank God You’re Here” or “Trust Us With Your Life,” you have some idea of what we do, but our shows are made better by the fact that our scene suggestions are coming from YOU, and not some Hollywood studio audience!
Huntsville Concert Band Spring Concert
The Huntsville Concert Band, directed by Marsha Asquith, will present its Spring Concert on Tuesday, March 29, at 7:00 PM at Latham United Methodist Church, 109 Weatherly Road in Huntsville. Our program for this performance will include music from Austria, Brazil, Cuba, France, Norway, and the United States. Robert M. Woosley, HCB principal trumpet, will be the featured soloist in Tico Tico by Zequinha de Abreu. There is no admission fee. Plan to attend and bring a friend!

Madison Community Band Spring Concert
The Madison Community Band kicks off its 2016 concert season with its annual Spring Concert! Admission is free and the concert is open to the public. The band invites the audience to join them on a musical journey through time and space, history, war and politics, drama, comedy, fantasy and science fiction, magic, heroes and villains, love, friendship, thrills, chills, and wonders, and the triumph of the human spirit. All of this and more can be found in the music of John Williams.
Maypril Music Series on the Square
It’s that time of year again, free outdoor music on the Square! Starting on April 7th, the Maypril Music Series, presented by Appleton Learning, boasts free acoustic shows around the Square in Downtown Huntsville from 5-8 pm every Thursday night. Don’t forget, these free concerts fall during open Entertainment District hours, so you can stroll with your favorite beverage.
James Clemens Theatre presents Disney’s Beauty and the Beast
Join Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out! If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

Alabama Youth Ballet Theatre is the non-profit performing company of Alabama Youth Ballet. Come see their performance of the timeless classic, Cinderella.
If you are family that encounters obstacles when attending theater events because some members in your family have special needs, Alabama Youth Ballet Theatre will be presenting a special performance on April 7th at 7PM that is free of charge for families with children with disabilities. This family-friendly comedy show benefits the SARTEC K-9 Unit, a non-profit organization and depends on donations to acquire equipment and training. The players will encourage audience participation, and snacks and beverages will be available for purchase. Seating is limited; to reserve seats, please call (256) 585-8449. Please park in back of the hotel and enter through the gate by the outdoor fireplace/chimney. 100% of money collected from seats sold will go to SARTEC, whose members are highly trained Rescuers with K-9 partners trained to work with Law Enforcement and Emergency Services organizations searching wilderness, urban, water, and disaster areas for people who are missing.
Huntsville Ballet Company presents Peter Pan
The Huntsville Ballet’s season closes with the world premiere of Peter Pan featuring original choreography by Artistic Director Phillip Otto. Take flight with Wendy, Michael and John as they follow Peter into the magical world of Neverland. High-flying adventure ensues as they join with the Lost Boys to battle the nefarious Captain Hook. The Huntsville Ballet Company is excited to interpret J.M. Barrie’s enchanting story through the beauty of ballet to in this original production at the Mark C. Smith Concert Hall of the Von Braun Center.
Peter Pan Adventure
An adventure awaits! The Little Mermaid

Concerts on the Dock
Concerts on the Dock has grown from a small gathering of music lovers to an institution in the Huntsville music scene since the first note was struck in 2008. This free, family friendly series is all about creating a laid back atmosphere for friends of Lowe Mill to enjoy original content and interesting new acts, Friday nights during the Spring and Fall. Bring chairs, picnics, friends and pets on a leash and join us under the water tower! Concerts on the Dock are always free but we ask a $2 suggested parking donation. Please carpool!
