Weekend Roundup July 20-22
FREE… one of the sweetest words parents can hear, especially when it’s high summer and entertaining the kids starts to add up. That’s why each event in today’s Weekend Roundup will cost you absolutely nothing to get in the door, and some even throw in free food for good measure!
Be sure to check out our Garage and Yard Sale page for a handy map of where all the sales are taking place, and be sure to look at our whole calendar of events so you don’t miss something important!

July’s Sidewalk Arts Stroll
Thursday from 4:30PM – 8:30PM If the rain holds out and you’ve never been to a Sidewalk Arts Stroll, today is the day to go. There are only four of these each summer, and it coincides with the Greene Street Market just a block away off the square in downtown Huntsville. Vendors offer artwork and handcrafted goods and the kids will delight in the variety of performers always present. The event is free and so is meter parking after 5:30PM.
-
Free Frozen Yogurt
Thursday from 6:00PM – 8:00PM: Sweet CeCe’s Frozen Yogurt in the Village of Providence is under new management, and are celebrating with a Grand Re-Opening and free yogurt for their guests. Be sure to try my favorite if it’s offered – strawberry cheesecake swirl topped with Fruity Pebbles, and tell them Rocket City Mom sent you!

Bounce Around at a Luau
Friday from 3:00PM – 7:00PM: Jump To It Clubhouse in Madison is also celebrating their customers by throwing them a luau-themed summer celebration! Free is the key word – as in admission, hot dogs, and popcorn. Be sure to pack the kids’ bathing suits & towels so they can have a go at the outdoor water slides in addition to the indoor inflatables.

2nd Annual FAST Field Day
Saturday from 10:00AM – 1:30 PM: This FREE event is open to girls and boys ages 7-14. Kids will receive professional coaching in the techniques of Flexibility, Agility and Speed Training. Registration will begin at 10am, the event kick-off at 11am until 1:30. Free2Teach, a local organization that operates a volunteer-run resource store stocked with teaching materials and classroom supplies, will be hosting a supply drive. Parents are asked to bring a pack of paper, pack of #2 pencils, and other basic school supplies to help support local public schools.
As always, click on the orange titles to visit the associated website for more information on a particular event. If you see an event we’ve missed, share your info in the comment section.

Glad you found it Amy! Sorry we didn’t make it more clear the event was at Chapman Middle. FAST itself doesn’t have a website.

I was wondering about the “Bounce Around Luau.” I looked on the website and it said it was on June 1st and tried to call to check but couldn’t get anyone. Do you know if they are doing it again today? Thanks so much! This is a fantastic site, by the way!
