Huntsville weekend

Gorgeous Spring weather is in the forecast for Huntsville this weekend, and so is a ton of free and/or cheap and family-friendly fun! Color celebrations, Captain Hook, glass ballet slippers, science experiments and much more make up our lineup this week.

Spring Walking Tour of Twickenham

Your family can enjoy an hour or so walking by some of Alabama’s most beautiful antebellum mansions in Huntsville. Jan Williams will share stories about the homes’ owners as well as recognizing each site’s distinctive style.

Celebrate Holi

Huntsville India Association invites all members of the public, especially those who simply get a kick out of chucking dyed powder at strangers, to celebrate Holi, the festival of color! There will be a small cultural program, good food, drinks, and of course colors.

Free Play Basketball

Saturday from 12:30 – 4:30 PM

Have fun with other kids your age and your parent/guardian! For kids ages 12 and under. Enjoy basketball free play from 12:30-4:30pm on Saturdays at the Dr. Richard Showers, Sr. Rec Center. Parent/guardian must be present the whole time.

Dinner & a Movie

Get your superhero on with Dinner & A Movie under the stars benefitting Make A Wish Alabama. The movie starts at 7 pm – The Avengers! Come dressed as as a superhero and you might just win a prize! Be sure to bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and grab a bite at one of the many food trucks.

Pine Ridge Open House

Join us at Pine Ridge Day Camp for an Open House event! There will be tours of the camp, with some of the camp activities running. It’s a great opportunity for families to come out to Pine Ridge & get a feel for what the camp is like before summer.
