USSRC’s 54th Birthday Celebration

$20 – $30The U.S. Space & Rocket Center is thrilled to be celebrating its 54th Birthday March 11-17, 2024!
Maker Lab March Madness – Escape from Measurement Island: Students are stranded on Measurement Island and the only way to escape is through metrology. Students will gain an understanding of the work of a metrologist. They will work to practice using precision measurement instruments, while paying attention to cumulative error. Students will use logic to determine the sequence of events, locate escape items, and calculate the distance between each set of points to determine a total distance. Teams must be within a tolerance level of two (2) inches in order to Escape from Measurement Island.
Maker Lab times:
March 11-14 (9:00 am – 4:00 pm)
March 15-16 (12:00 – 4:00 pm) – Starting at 12 noon due to Teen Maker Hour Labs from 10:30 – 11:30 am.
The STEAM Literature Series (SLS), Plants in Space, will be daily M-F (March 11-15) inside Spark Lab at 10:00 am. Join us for stories and crafts about plants and learn how we grow them in space on the ISS.
And don’t miss the daily 15 minute STEM on Stage shows in the Museum Atrium stage at 10 am and 2:00 pm!
