Supply Drive Tremendous Success!
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
Wow! That’s all I can say about the amazing support and generosity we received from the community. I honestly thought our little school supply drive might help a few families and instead, we were able to fill large orders from county school districts! All told, we were able to donate the following to families and schools in Madison, Calhoun, and Limestone Counties*:
- 4400 Pencils
- 1300 Pens
- 580 Markers
- 710 Glue Sticks
- 300 Pairs of Scissors
- 630 Colored Pencils
Along with hundreds of folders, pencil cases, notebooks, backpacks and various other school and teacher supplies.
We could not have done that without the support from all the generous people in our community as well as local organizations like Huntsville Madison County Libraries, Redstone Federal Credit Union and KeepVolunteering.org.

*The numbers are very close estimates. I tried counting everything but I might have lost count a couple of times

Thanks Carol. It turned out to be more than I was expecting but that’s always a good problem to have when you are raising supplies

Well, it’s nothing on the scale of your drive but you are right about the need and we were glad to do what we could. I hope to see Jerry without his ‘stache soon
