After talking with Heather from Heather’s Hints last night at the Rocket City Bloggers meet-up (check out the latest blog carnival at Sarah Lena’s blog) I realized that I knew about a lot of deals coming up or currently going on but I’d only shared them on Facebook and Twitter. If you missed it, well, you missed it.
So to help the most amount of moms keep up with the good deals, I thought I would post them here as well. I still post most of the stuff I find on Facebook because it’s faster so if you’re not already following the page, do so now. What are you waiting for?
In no particular order, a few family/kid-related steals and deals going on in our hometown:
I found PMABT when I went looking for a diaper bag that converted to a backpack. My baby had turned into a toddler and it was crucial that I find a way to keep BOTH hands free. The ladies were super helpful. I found a very cute bag that fit all my criteria and it was on Sale! I was sold and I’ve returned time and time again to buy cute outfits for my little one as well as shower gifts for friends. To get all that, support a local store and do it for half-off is a real steal but that’s exactly what you can do if you buy this Living Social deal. There is a limit of one per person but you can buy one as a gift as well. That’s a pretty great shower gift but hurry because you only have until Sunday to purchase.
Go to this website and register and you’ll get two tickets to almost any museum you want for use on Saturday, September 24th. If you’re planning on staying in Huntsville for that weekend, you’re choices are: Sci-Quest, U.S. Space and Rocket Center, Huntsville Museum of Art and the Veterans Memorial Museum.
Have you missed the dino’s at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center up until now? They’re leaving on September 5th so make sure you get there soon. If the price is just too rich for your blood maybe $5 sounds good. This Saturday, August 20th, from 6 – 10 p.m. you can not only see all those dinosaurs up close but you can also enjoy live bands; hot dogs, chips and soda; cake, children’s activities and much more.
Sci-Quest Parents’ Night Out
Congrats to Sci-Quest on their win of a new Toyota vehicle and thanks to everyone who voted for them. Not only is this a great science museum and resource in our town but they offer a PNO that comes highly recommended by Rocket City Moms. Mine is a year too young but you better believe that come next year, she’ll be signed up every 3rd Friday. If you want to eat a dinner with a low risk of getting it on your outfit, consider doing the same! At just $20 for the first child and $15 per additional, this is a great bargain for both piece of mind and peace. Have fun!
