A spring break camp is a great way for your child to explore the world why staying right here in the Tennessee Valley! This list of awesome camps has something for everyone but we advise you hurry to register because they tend to fill up fast.

Get in the Game: Students in Pre-Kindergarten through 8th Grade (who meet eligibility requirements) will explore the wide world of athletic competition by learning and playing a variety of team sports. After mastering several different types of sports and the science of fitness, students will work together to come up with their own new types of sporting events, culminating in an Olympics-style competition of sportsmanship, teamwork, and athletic prowess.

Alabama Kidnastics Spring Break Camp

Full day camp for ages 5-12 offering instruction in gymnastics, tumbling, dance, soccer, softball, volleyball, basketball,parkour ninja warrior, fitness games and much more. Kids need to bring a sack lunch with drink. Your child will not be bored!

Alabama Elite Hoops Spring Break Skills Clinic basketball camp huntsville

This camp is exclusively for boys and girls in 3rd – 8th grade. It focuses extensively on basketball skill work, offensive & defensive concepts, as well as speed and agility training!

Alexander’s Martial Arts

This camp is a great way to introduce your child to the benefits of martial arts. Alexander’s teaches an orientation class on the first day of camp so the kids can graduate to their white belts at a special ceremony that afternoon (so parents can see what they have learned). The children are also taken on field trips that include swimming and the park so they don’t miss out on the fun of Spring Break. During camp days, Alexander’s offers an early drop-off time of 7:30am with a late pickup time of 5:30pm.

Burritt Nature Rangers Spring Camp: Wild and Woolly Woods Explorers

Children in grades K through 5 can to hike woodland trails, play active outdoor games, explore the historic park and barnyard, and create fun and original crafts, while being introduced to classic children’s literature. Each day will shine a spotlight on a different beloved children’s story through hands-on activities and provide boundless opportunities to enjoy nature and make new friends. Campers will be supervised by Burritt’s CPR-certified staff. Typical teacher to camper ratio is 1 to 15 or better, so your child receives individualized attention. Burwell’s Martial Arts Spring Break Camp

Ages 3 and up are invited to join us for a fun-filled Spring Break Camp! We will enjoy horseback riding, skating, going to a movie, and of course, taekwondo lessons. Lunch and snacks are provided. ALL staff is CPR Certified and we have a full-time nurse on staff!

This day-to-day camp is offered for the week of spring break with new activities each day. Huntsville Hockey Camphockey

Huntsville Ice Plex’s Spring Break Hockey Camp for ages 5-13 is a great way option for an active Spring Break camp. The emphasis will be on skill development coupled with some fun and  exciting small area games. The camp will also include various events such as a breakaway challenge and 3 on 3 games! Players will watch a hockey video between the ice sessions and have snacks. Players must have full gear; equipment not provided.

MindGear Labs

mindgearlabsWith camps offered at both their Madison and Lowe Mill locations, MindGear Labs offers 3 different programs for children in grades 3-8 this spring. This year’s camps are all about MineCraft! In “Minecraft: Mina the Electronic City II”, one of MindGear’s most beloved Minecraft worlds is back and better than ever by going deeper into how electronics and computing systems work. Students will learn how to use Redstone to build doors, traps, and launchers.  They’ll also explore the city and our museum of memory and logic circuits. All campers will also take home the exclusive Redstone poster!

In the “Minecraft: Player vs. Player Challenge” sessions, MindGear will once again host its wildly popular PVP tournaments. Each day, kids will not only meet challengers and play in their very own PVP tournament, they’ll also learn the math behind the Colley’s Bias Free Matrix Rankings.

Skate Camp

Skate Camp is a great way to learn how to skate, or how to skate better, while having fun in our spacious facility. One-on-one rollerskating lessons provided for any skill level, as well as snacks, lunch, and games! Great for beginners. Camp is from 8am-12pm Monday-Friday, and all campers skate free during our 12-4pm School’s Out Skates… so you can drop off early, and they can stay until 4pm. Although walk-ins are always welcome, call us and book today!

Special Populations Rising Stars Basketball Skills Camp

The Special Populations division of Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to offering recreational programs to the physically and mentally challenged from preschool through senior citizens. Special Populations recognizes four main categories of disabilities: Mentally Challenged/Developmentally Delayed; Physically Challenged; Consumers of Mental Health Services; and At Risk/Environmentally Challenged. At this free spring break camp, boys and girls ages 12-17 are invited to come learn basketball fundamentals! Camp Facilitator is Christopher Blanding, Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Columbia High School.

U.S. Space and Rocket Center Day Camp

Experience all the excitement of the U.S. Space and Rocket Center® at Day Camp! Crew trainers guide trainees through the past, present and future of flight or space exploration, using actual jets, shuttles and rockets as the backdrop. Trainees choose from three distinct camp options: Space, Aviation or Robotics.
